Cyrlius earned his Bachelor in Land Management in 2008 from the Polytechnic of Namibia (now NUST) and a Bachelor (Hons) in Spatial Planning in 2012 as well a Master in Urban and Regional Planning in 2014, from the University of the Free State in South Africa. He joined the Department of Architecture and Spatial Planning in 2018. Before joining the Department, he worked for the Ministry of Land Reform as a Chief Development Planner.
