Possibilities for Applying Natural Sequence Farming on Namibian Rangelands

The Speaker:
Peter Andrews is an Australian farmer who learned through observation and trials how water and nutrients move through the landscape. If facilitated to function naturally, the healthy landscapes support productive farms. If mismanaged, the degraded landscapes gradually become less productive.

Peter developed a farming strategy known as ‘Natural Sequence Farming’, of which details may be obtained from the website: http://www.nsfarming.com/ and in his two books “Back from the brink” and “Beyond the brink.”

In recognition of his outstanding work, he was honoured with Australia’s highest public award, The Order of Australia Medal.
